*⁠To successfully complete the course,  students must complete 20 hours of observation and 20 hours of practice teaching, which are separate from the course period. Students need to collect the hours outside of the academy class only after fulfilling all these requirements, students will take the exam. Exam is within 2 weeks after the last day of the course.

Space to practice

At our academy, we recognize the importance of having sufficient time to absorb and practice the skills you learn. The more practice time you dedicate, the more effectively you will integrate the techniques into your teaching. As an academy student, you are eligible to use the fully equipped training facility free of charge during our operating hours, provided there are no ongoing classes.

All course materials

The course package includes all necessary materials for each piece of equipment covered in the program. From detailed manuals to instructional guides, you’ll receive comprehensive resources for each apparatus, including the Mat, Reformer, Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spinal Corrector, and Cadillac. These materials are designed to support your learning, providing you with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively teach and utilize each piece of equipment. With these resources, you’ll have everything you need to deepen your practice and enhance your teaching skills.

Observation sessions for group classes

As a student at SUN:DAY Pilates, you'll have unlimited access to observe our group classes at all our studios: Tropicana Avenue, Nadi Bangsar & Subang Jaya. Whether it’s Reformer, Chair, or Mat Pilates, you’ll have the opportunity to observe a variety of classes, allowing you to gain valuable insights into different teaching styles and techniques. This observation will help you naturally develop your teaching skills and deepen your understanding of the practice.

Certificate of Completion

Upon successfully fulfilling all course requirements, students of SUN:DAY Academy will receive a Certificate of Completion from SUN:DAY with accredited by NASM.

SUN:DAY Academy classes will take place at our beautifully designed studios in Tropicana Avenue and Bangsar. Each space is thoughtfully crafted to provide a calming and inspiring environment, perfect for focused learning and personal growth.

Our Tropicana Avenue studio is fully equipped with all Pilates apparatus, offering a comprehensive setting for mastering a wide range of equipment, from the Reformer to the Cadillac. Meanwhile, the Bangsar studio features specialized facilities for Chair Pilates, giving you the opportunity to practice and refine your skills in this unique discipline. Both locations are designed to support your journey as a student, with serene aesthetics and functional spaces that encourage learning, exploration, and the confidence to grow into an expert instructor.

Who is eligible for the SUN:DAY Academy course?

The SUN:DAY Academy course is exclusively for female students. It is ideal for:

Do I need to be an advanced practitioner to join?

No advanced skills are required. This course welcomes anyone with a passion for Pilates, a commitment to learning, and a desire to grow.

What are the requirements to complete this course?

To become a certified Pilates instructor, you must fulfill the following:

  • Attend all scheduled course sessions.
  • Complete 20 hours of class observation.
  • Complete 20 hours of self-practice.
  • Complete 20 hours of teaching practice.
  • Pass the final exam.
Is this course certified?

What is the 20-hour teaching practice, and how does it work?

The 20-hour teaching practice involves teaching a practice body in the studio, outside of the scheduled course hours. This requirement is essential for course completion but does not automatically qualify you as a trainee instructor at the studio.

Will I be allowed to access the studio for practice?

Yes, you can use the studio for practice during its operating hours when there are no ongoing classes.

How many students are in each batch?

Each batch accommodates a maximum of 8 students to ensure a focused, supportive, and personalized learning experience.

Can I expect a job at SUN:DAY Pilates after completing the course?

Employment as a full-time or part-time instructor is not guaranteed upon course completion. Advancing to an instructor role depends on individual performance and evaluation.

Can I work at other studios if I am a part-time instructor with SUN:DAY Pilates?

Yes, part-time instructors are free to work with other studios simultaneously and are not subject to exclusivity.

What happens if I miss a session?

Replacement classes for missed sessions are available for an additional fee of RM500 per day. Students are responsible for arranging replacement classes directly with their trainer.

Can I retake exams if needed?

Yes, students can retake the theory and practical exams for a fee of RM500 per exam.

Are mock exams available?

Yes, mock exams are available for RM250 each. These must be scheduled directly with the trainer.

Can I pay for the course in installments?

No, full payment is required upon acceptance into the program to secure your spot, as slots are limited.
